Center Director Presents International Research at
NCIL and APRIL Conferences

Glen White discusses his presentation with an audience member

Glen White, far left, talked with Dawn Francis, Director of Iowa's Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC), after his NCIL presentation. Second from left is Michael Winter from the U.S. Department of Transportation, who was a panelist for White's presentation.

Glen White presented the results of an international research project annual conference of the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) in June 2012 and at the conference of the Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL) in October 2012.

The title of his presentation was "Measuring CIL Services that Improve Community Participation for People with Disabilities: A Comparative Study of the United States, Japan and Korea."

This international study extends work done in the U.S. since 2008. Read more about the study and download the presentation.

The domestic project is described in more detail on our MICL website; see project R-5.
