RTC/IL Supports 2016 Poster Fair
The Center co-sponsored the annual Graduate Student Poster Session for Applied Behavioral Science students in May. This annual event gives students an opportunity to present their research in a public forum and polish their skills for future academic presentations. The ABS Graduate Student Organization is the other sponsor of the event. More photos here.

Distinguished Alumnus Visits
In Nov. 16, 2012, RGRIL team members had the opportunity to discuss community-based research with Jon Bailey, PhD, who was on campus to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award from KU's Applied Behavioral Science department. Dr. Bailey is Professor Emeritus at Florida State University.

Melissa Gard Completes Doctorate
Congratulations to Melissa Gard on earning her Ph.D. Dr. Gard defended her dissertaton on Mar. 8, 2012. Her topic was "An Evaluation of Sight Word Procedures for Children with Autism: Interspersed Trial Training."
Executive Director of USICD Visits
David Morrissey (center), Executive Director of U.S. International Council on Disability, met with RGRIL members on May 9, 2011 to discuss the United States and the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The CRPD is the first international human rights convention of the 21st Century and the first treaty to address disability rights globally.
