RTC Co-sponsors Mixed-Ability Dance Workshops

Nov. 2016 - The RTC/IL co-sponsored mixed-ability dance workshops held by AXIS Dance Company on Nov. 9. The workshops were held in conjunction with the company's performance at KU's Lied Center for the performing arts. The RTC partnered with AbleHawks and Allies and Independence Inc.'s Access Task Force to support the event.

In the mixed-ability workshop, participants with and without disabilities explored creative movement, improvisation and modern dance techniques. AXIS also held a special session for preschoolers. Pictured below with AXIS dancers are (from top) RTC staff Alice Zhang (on left); Glen White (on left); and Kelsey Shinnick (on right). The last two photos show the open session and the children's workshop. See more photos on our Facebook page.
