Tom Seekins

Tom Seekins, PhD, has more than 25 years of experience in disability and rehabilitation services and research. He is Director of the Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities at the University of Montana. Dr. Seekins is particularly interested in issues of rural community development, consumer empowerment and health promotion for people with disabilities.

He has served on numerous state and national boards and in 2006 received the Alan Myers Award from the Disability Forum of the American Public Health Association. He has published over 50 professional papers on disability, rehabilitation, and community psychology, rural community development, consumer empowerment and health promotion for people with disabilities.
